My name is Donya Hnath and I was born in the San Francisco bay area of California.  I moved to Colorado in the early 1990’s to attend college at CSU in Ft. Collins.  I graduated from CSU with a BA in Spanish and an emphasis in K12 education.  I then received a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision in Education.  I studied abroad in San Jose, Costa Rica and also I have studied in Morelia, Mexico and Alicante, Spain.  I have been a Classroom Spanish teacher for 15 years in the Cherry Creek School District along with the Thompson School District and Long Beach Unified.  My passion has always been with elementary age kids.  However, I had rarely found opportunities for teaching Spanish to this passionate, fun, and energetic group of children.  So, I decided to leave the public schools and create ¡Vívalo Kids! just for preschoolers and elementary students.  As you will find, I have almost as much energy as these kiddos do.  Together we will laugh, sing, dance, and exercise while creatively learning a second language.  I am also a mom to my 6 1/2 year old son Nico, who I learn so much from each and every day.

My name is Angela Schreiner.  In 2004, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish education and I am currently working towards a master’s degree in Spanish Linguistics.  I am a licensed K-12 Spanish teacher in the state of Colorado.  I have taught many different levels of Spanish over the last twelve years.  Currently, I teach Spanish at Goddard Middle School in the Littleton School District.  I have traveled throughout Central America and attended a language institute in Cuernavaca, Mexico.  I absolutely love teaching.  It’s in my blood, my grandfather and mother were both teachers.  I also married a teacher.  My husband and I appreciate having our summers together to spend time with our own children, Sladen (7) and Brooklyn (4).  I love to Salsa dance, try new foods, travel and learn as much as possible about new cultures and places.  For many years, I have also enjoyed working with preschoolers at our church Sunday School and Vacation Bible School programs.  I have liked teaching students of all ages but to hear a little one’s voice ask me how to say a new word or phrase in Spanish is a true joy.

Our Mission

¡Vívalo Kids! is a program that allows children to explore the wonders of the Spanish language through music, movement, visual detail and expression.  Children will utilize their energy and curiosity, while expanding brain function and capacity. Using best practices, research based curriculum is implemented in order to create an effective and engaging learning environment for your children.  Along with visual manipulative, song, dance and exercise our Vívalo Kids will learn many cultural expressions in addition to an abundance of vocabulary and grammar all in the target language… SPANISH!
